The Facebook Glossary is a loose, short-hand collection of notes and reminders of the key Facebook screens and features.
- Account Settings
- Technical and social preferences are set here by the account holder.

- Create a List
- User may separate Friends by "List".

- Block List
- Denies access to one's space.

- Fan
- User who "Likes" or befriends the "Page" in some fashion.

- People desiring a connection with you.

- Facebook plug-ins are controlled here.

- See Network. To Facebook, Network and Group are the same thing.
- Except for the "Global" network, users choose which Groups they belong to.

- List of Friends
- Create one: "Find Friends" -> Account -> Edit Friends -> Create-a-List

- News Feed
- Scrolling message board of Friends' posts.

- Internet users without accounts can see these screens.
- Must have an account to create one.
- Includes fan pages and commercial pages.

- Profile
- Biographical information about the account holder.
- Also Facebook settings and preferences.

- News Feed
- Scrolling comments from Friends.
- Each post is limited to 420 characters including spaces.

- Network
- A user's Friends. Same as Group.
- "Global" is the default network. A user may belong to several.

- Notification
- Something has been done which affects you.

- Upcoming Events

- Wall
- Friends write on your "Wall", or vice versa, with information directed to you only.
- Reach it by clicking Profile in the upper right.
